1. Visualize your goals
It is important you surround yourself with visual representations of what you are trying to achieve. Post pictures and reminders of your goals all around your home, office, car, kitchen, etc. The more you think about your goal, the more likely you are to stick to it. Thoughts lead to actions which cause results. So, think about your goal in a positive light-hearted manner as often as possible. Doing so will cause you to inevitably follow through on your set goal with the appropriate actions.
2. Think about your why
Our “why” is the reason behind our goals. Often its people, places, things, or health conditions. However, it is different for everybody. Be sure to think about why you want to lose weight. It is important your “why” sets your soul on fire. If it doesn’t, it’s time to dig deeper or find a more meaningful “why.” Once you know your “why” write it down. Doing so helps you internalize it. Then read your “why” twice a day. Once when you wake up in the morning and once as you are going to sleep. This is an old tactic the legendary personal development author Napoleon Hill teaches in Think and Grow Rich. Doing this will ensure your mindset is ready as your body transforms.
3. Treat yourself
Positive reinforcement works wonders! It’s important you have a healthy strategy in place though. Don’t just randomly reward yourself. Rather plan a series of rewards (gear, massages, trips) you will gift yourself as you accomplish smaller micro goals. As your progress, the series of rewards will serve as motivation for you. Keep in mind it is important to make sure the rewards are congruent with your health plan. The is no point working hard to take 5 steps forward just to take 3 steps back and indulge
