Jog Walking for Dummies

A common exercise when attempting to lose weight is running. While running is a great way to burn calories, it can be detrimental to the knees. Running is risky for people who are just starting off their weight-loss journey. Discipline should be displayed in the kitchen before an individual decides to run.


Running for the first time can be intimidating. It is important to keep in mind that nobody is casting judgment. It’s best to go at your own pace and take breaks when you need too. Try going for a jog walk. This is basically a cardio exercise where you switch off between increments of walking and jogging.


Switching between the two is especially helpful in building up endurance. Through consistent effort over time the jog walks will be much more jogging and less walking. The key is to be patient with yourself. Allow yourself to be a beginner. After all everybody has to start somewhere.


The less pressure you put you yourself in the beginning during jog walks the better. While pressure may be low do your best to get better every time. Try to jog more than you walk as your workouts progress. They key is to gradually improve your endurance every time you go for a jog/walk. Building endurance takes patience and commitment. Jogging is one of numerous cardio exercises one can use to stay in a caloric deficit.
