The holidays are a wonderful time to take a break from your regular schedule and get some quality time with family. However, the holidays are also a time when a lot of people regress in their weight loss journey. It’s easy to get caught up in the festivities and forget about watching what you eat. Here are a couple of tips on how to maintain your healthy diet while also maintaining the holiday spirit.


1. Before eating any big meals, try having a healthy appetizer prior if possible. Wait twenty minutes after the appetizers to allow your body to register how full you are. This will help you avoid overeating at the dinner table.


2. Also, opt out from having juice, soda, or alcohol and instead take water. These all just add calories that you don’t need.


3. Lastly, it’s not a bad idea to skip desert, once again it’ll just add unnecessary calories to your diet.


Spending some family time in the outdoors is also a great way to maintain your healthy lifestyle. You’ll be able to get in some exercise in by walking for not just yourself, but also for the whole family.
