Beef Taco Salad (Phase 4)

(Maya Krampf, 2016)

Serves 6 people

Takes 15 minutes to prepare

Ingredients:

1 lb Ground beef

1 tsp Olive oil (or any oil of choice)

2 tbsp Taco seasoning (store-bought or home-made)

8 oz Romaine lettuce (chopped)

1 1/3 cup Grape tomatoes (halved)

1 cup Cheddar cheese (shredded)

1 medium Avocado (cubed)

1/2 cup Green onions (chopped)

1/3 cup Salsa

1/3 cup Sour cream

Preparation:

1. Start by heating up a large skillet with a small amount of oil. Once oil has been heated over a high flame for a couple of minutes, add in the ground beef. Stir fry the beef while breaking up the pieces with your spatula. Do this for around 7- 10 mins, or until the beef is browned and all moisture has evaporated

2. Place the taco seasoning into the pan and mix well into the beef.

3. Combine all other ingredients in a large bowl. Feel free to remove any ingredients that you may not enjoy and sub in ones you will (as long as they follow your protocol)

4. Add the cooked ground beef into all combined ingredients. Toss well, then serve.

Nutrition information is estimated based on 85/15 ground beef and typical tomato salsa.
